I decided, my mom, like the rest of my family was abroad, so I would be taking a good deal of thought. We were unable to disappointed.
The decor inside is seductively dark with twinkling tea lights on tables. This is only the upstairs bar. After our table was ready we were taken down and got a wonderful Asian greeting and showed that our table.
Tamsin our incredibly knowledgeable and nice waitress gave us the menu and explained the various ways we food.
The our choices and decisions sequence, it could lead to many so we decided to Omakase menu. This is where the chef's best eight dishes served in small portions picks. You do not know what you get, but you know it to be the best.
As we begin our celebration we were waiting on a plate of edamame, fresh, green soybeans boiled in their pods and easily with Murray River salt rock salt are given. It is a very simple dish, but incredibly delicious. I tried, not everyone was too much, as I knew I had to fit in eight dishes it.
Each court tells us how from which I thought was wonderful.
The first dish was a choice of three small fish was taken. The taste was incredible. It was such a nice spicy, fresh taste. The oil with the lemon juice and sweet and sour fish was mixed up delicious.
This was followed by another two fish dishes were very fresh. One of them is Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeño. You have not really blow my mind, but they were very nice simple dishes. The best thing was our waitress coming.
Tamsin told me to wait again, until we tried the Black Cod with Miso, which apparently Nobu signature dish. It was up next. It was wrapped with an elegant presentation.
The fish in a bamboo leaves with small droplets of miso sauce on the side of pickled ginger and a handle was. I've never tasted fish like this. It was juicy and sweet miso sauce and complements it perfectly. It was absolutely divine.
Another amazing dish was on the way ... Beef Tenderloin
The act came in a bowl directly from the wood stove. I was worried it was going the way of the smoke detector. It was cooked medium rare. But it by swirling the juices that are prepared on the plate, the meat was sizzling to perfection. The taste is just heavenly. Absolutely delicious.
The traditional sushi his way to our table. There was a choice, the shrimp and scallops, contains my favorite. It came with a sweet little surprise.
A longish omelet. It was like a sweet cake. Everything worked perfectly together. I was not happy about it, that was between the layer of fish and rice for a few chunks of wasabi. I had to scratch it made off.
A small intestine into a black octagon shape with a lid in front of us. Opening the lid, we found a warm bowl of miso soup. We drank it straight from the bowl. I felt like I was in Asia. It was a wonderful touch.
Tamsin told us that people with the soup, which is not properly started. Soup should stay until the end, and I agree. All meals were fine.
Finally, my favorite food ... Dessert! I have a very sweet tooth and I was not disappointed.
I felt like a kid at Christmas. The box came dessert reminded me of a jewelry box of my mother. It was shown a glossy mahogany-style. After opening, I found a delicious chocolate dessert. It was the Chocolate Bento Box with Green Tea Ice Cream.
The chocolate dessert was warm and crispy on the outside. But a spoon into the chocolate sauce, it allows the escape. It was like a chocolate pudding sauce. I also love green tea ice cream with the chocolate so that was a decadent delight.
To end was a warm cup of green tea in order.
The meal we had was really excellent. Leave it to the cook, the best, he was the did.
The select super food. It was incredibly fresh, the flavors were explosive and the service was impeccable.
The price tag for the Omakase menu is $ 110, but it was money well spent.
